HMRC has asked us to share details of planned service downtime during which as a result some services will be unavailable.
To allow delivery of additional functionality, essential maintenance to the Making Tax Digital (MTD) VAT Service Downtime has been scheduled from 4 pm on Saturday 11th May until 4 pm on Monday 13th May.
During the maintenance period, users will be unable to:
- Sign up for Making for Tax Digital
- Create an Agent services account (although all other Agent services will be available),
- View previous submissions and payment details,
- Set up new or cancel and amend existing direct debits,
- Review and update any business details.
The Service availability pages on GOV.UK will be updated to include details of the downtime. So please make sure to check there for any updates.
They also mentioned that the MTD Income Tax pilot is unaffected by this maintenance.
HMRC has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.
Maintenance to the Making Tax Digital (MTD) VAT service has is scheduled from 4 pm on Saturday 11th May until 4 pm on Monday 13th May.
Important:
While some elements of the MTD VAT service will be inaccessible during this maintenance period (such as new customers joining), HMRC has said it will still be possible to submit VAT returns during this period. Also, you will be able to make payments as usual.
